About the PXG 0317 T

The 0317 T is the tour iron of PXG's 0317 line, forged three times from 8620 carbon steel with a 14-gram tungsten weight in the toe to sit the centre of gravity centrally behind the face. It shares the 0317 family's lengths and lies but runs one to two degrees stronger than the rest of the line through most of the set, at 32 degrees for the 7-iron and 46 for the pitching wedge. PXG's adjustable rear weighting lets swing weight be tuned after the build.

Frequently asked questions

What is the loft of a PXG 0317 T 7-iron?

The PXG 0317 T 7-iron has a loft of 32 degrees, a standard lie of 62.5 degrees and a standard length of 37.00 inches.

When did the PXG 0317 T come out?

PXG announced it in November 2023 and it went on sale in January 2024.

How is the PXG 0317 T different from the 0311 T?

Same lengths and lies and the same loft chart, but the 0317 T is triple-forged from 8620 carbon steel with a 14-gram internal tungsten toe weight and an adjustable rear weight, where the 0311 T is a hollow body filled with XCOR2.

Can you adjust the swing weight of a PXG 0317 T?

Yes. PXG's rear weighting system takes interchangeable weights, so swing weight is set at fitting rather than fixed by the head.

Where it sits in the lineup

Introduced in 2023, the PXG 0317 T is a current players set in the PXG range, with no replacement announced. It replaced the PXG 0311 T GEN6. New sets are built to the standard lofts, lies and lengths in the chart above, though a fitting can move any of them — so confirm the numbers on the order sheet. Used sets appear on eBay, 2nd Swing and Golf Avenue, and should be measured against this chart before buying.

Data compiled from:
  • 2ndswing.com PXG 0317 T Iron Set specification table — length, lie, loft, offset and bounce for the 3-iron through gap wedge (PXG labels the wedges W and G), plus the set configurations and shaft options.
  • pluggedingolf.com 'PXG 0317 T Irons Review' and golf.com "PXG's all-new 0317 T irons: 5 things you need to know" — the triple forging from 8620 carbon steel, the 14-gram internal tungsten toe weight, the adjustable rear weighting, and the note that the 0317 T shares the 0317 line's lengths and lies while running one to two degrees stronger in loft.
  • Note on the year: PXG showed the 0317 ST, 0317 CB and 0317 T in November 2023 and put them on sale in January 2024, so year_introduced records the announcement year per this database's convention and some listings date the model 2024.
  • Note: swing weight is not fixed — PXG's rear weighting system is adjustable — so it is omitted.
